Companies House fees rise significantly

The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act will introduce a number of changes for companies over the next few years. Amongst the upcoming changes is the requirement for companies to provide a registered email address from March 2024, as well as a whole host significant of Companies House fee increases from 1 May 2024.

One of the most notable fee increases is the confirmation statement fee, which has increased from £13 to £34 to file online. This is an increase of 162% !

Companies House released a statement that claims that the fees are set on a cost recovery basis. This means their fees must cover the cost of the services they deliver. They do not make a profit on the fees.
